Sprint's HD Voice technology is a project they have been working on for a while. It looks like it will soon come to fruition. According to a quote directly from Dan Hesse, Sprint's CEO, Sprint plans to launch their HD Voice capabilities in several areas around the country, "around the first of July." Of course, to utilize this functionality, users will need a device capable of HD Voice. That already includes over two dozen different devices, including the HTC One/One Max, iPhone 5s/5c, Samsung Galaxy S4/Note 3, Nexus 5 and many more.
The technology for HD Voice basically helps devices on Sprint's network make "crystal clear calls" by delivering more natural-sounding voices and canceling background noise. You can check out the concept in the video above.
