Did not know about this animated movie until a few minutes ago but it will hit the theaters December 14. It is different. It is basically about Peter Parker mentoring Miles Morales with Gwen Stacey. too bad it is not direct to video

They had to go animation because of the deal they had with Marvel for using Spider-man in the MCU. Those that saw Infinity War know why a December Spider-man movie would not work as anything other than an animation.

rights, licenses and everything legal tends to get in the way of a good thing, however, I don't care if it is animated or live action, I just want a good story.
