Speech to text not working on JB

Anyone experience this? The microphone pops up but usually nothing happens, sometimes it has worked but most of the time not.

Mine works.
Since there are several methods for bringing up the voice search, what method are you using to get to the mic.?

I click on the microphone key on the keyboard and the mic pops up but it stays grey sometimes and doesn't turn red and say listening like it does when it works.
