Speaker Volume

I was really hoping 2.1 would give me speaker phone volume on my DroidX at least as loud as my old HTC Eris. The speaker phone volume sucks on my DroidX, and it also sucked on my HTC Incredible and HTC Evo. It was excellent on my Eris even when driving on the freeway. What gives? I'm pi$$ed.:icon_evil:

I have the Droid 1st generation and control speaker volume with the regular volume control , and it's very loud?
