Speaker Always On for Music

Droid Razr on VZW. This started happening recently: When I'm playing music the speaker is always on - even when I plug in headphones. No audio through the headphones but the speaker is on. I've tried several headphones all of which work when connected to other audio sources. No outwardly visible damage to the headphone jack.

Any clues appreciated.

There could be lint or dust in the bottom of the jack. That will keep the phone from switching into headphone mode. gently clean it out with a toothpick

Yep! I'm glad that was the problem. It's a lot easier to fix than a bad jack
