Sound issues

I wanted to see if anyone else is having the same issue I am having. When I try to play my music through the speaker it showes to be playing but no sound coming out. The same thing is happening when I try to watch a Netflex movie using the speakers. I heard that some others were able to fix this by plugging in a headphone jack. I can't get that to work and have to power off then power back on to get it to work.

Do you get any sound for the external speaker like notifications and ring tones?
If not it may be a connection issue with the speaker. Several have had that issue which can usually be temporary resolved by pressing on the case over the speaker top rear. It will likely return but that is a temporary fix. There is another thread here related to that problem.
I had my phone replaced for that reason.

I get ring tones some times and others not so much. How old was your phone when you got them to replace it? Mine is almost 1 yr old. I will have to try to press the speaker area when it messes up.

It was well past warranty but i have insurance which extends the warranty as long as the insurance is in force. There was no charge for the replacement. I think the normal warranty is 1 year so you should be able to get a replacement at no charge.
