Sound Issues! Help?

Out of the blue yesterday I started having major issues. The OTA Gingerbread update created a few minor issues that I could deal with like disconnecting the calls immediately but this one I can't handle and I need help. No sound from the earpiece when on a call but speaker works. Can't hear any media (videos on sd card or online, no music when using music player). But phone rings and ringtones work under settings. Under settings - sound - media audio effects it doesn't say connected under phone speaker. So far I did a hard reset throught the privacy settings and that caused more weirdness like the voice commands keep starting out of the blue without me even being anywhere near the phone as well as random songs start playing. Any ideas?

I have a sound issue too. No one can hear me (or can hardly hear me) when I call them. I can hear everyone fine.
