Sony just launched three new flagship devices in the United States. They are bringing the Xperia Z1, the Xperia Z Ultra and a new Smartwatch 2 across the ocean. A couple of these devices, The Xperia Z1 and Xperia Z Ultra, have been out for a short while overseas, but are only now making their way to US shores. The Smartwatch 2 is Sony's second generation smartwatch designed to compete with Samsung's Galaxy Gear.

Here's the scoop on each of these devices:

The Xperia Z1- available in Sony stores, at Sony’s online storefront, and at other select online retailers for $670 unlocked (HSPA+ only)

  • 20 megapixel camera
  • Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 chipset
  • 2GB of RAM
  • Water and dust resistant - IP55/IP58 certification
The Xperia Z Ultra - $650 with HSPA+ radios, or $680 for the model with LTE and HSPA+
  • 6.4-inch full HD display
  • Snapdragon 800 chipset
  • 2GB of RAM
  • 8 megapixel camera
Sony SmartWatch 2 - $200

All three of these devices are available on Sony's website which you can check out here: Smartphones: Compare and review unlocked and Android Xperia smartphone mobile phone technology - Sony US

So no Z1 with LTE? This was supposed to be my backup plan in case I couldn't get a Nexus 5 :-(

Everyone's loving the Ultra, but as usual if it's from Sony VZ won't pick it up. For shame.
