Some noobish questions

This is my first time owning a smart phone let alone a Droid phone. I bought the Incredible and am still trying to figure everything out.

Is there any way to have a ringtone for when someone text you that's not one of the default ones for a specific person? Like I used an app to download a ringtone and I want that song to play when this certain person texts me. The only way I can do it is to set it as my default notification sound.
