Some apps randomly erase? Also, best theft app?

I downloaded angry birds and i was playing for a while. I exited it fine, then a few hours later i went to play and it was gone! I went to my apps in the market and there was nothing!
I reinstalled it.
It happened again the next day!
This also happened with a snowboarding game.
any explanations?

Also, what is the best app for anti theft?
Is there anything that could remotely password lock the phone, as well as remotely turn on/off and set off a sound even when off or silent?
Preferably free but something that good would be worth investing in lol

I cant help you with the First question but for the second try Lookout in the market. I know it is free for certain features and you get a trial for the premium features.

also, is there like a droid version of blackberrys desktop manager? i want to save my contacts numbers on my computer

Not sure, but you can sign into gmail from your desktop browser and click contacts and it will list your contacts on your phone (if you have sync on), and just export them to your pc.
