You cannot adjust the amount of vibration.

No. Why? No reason, though on my 3 and half year old "dumb" phone you could control almost every aspect of tactile feedback, but... not this phone...

If you go to settings> Language and input > click the gear on your keyboard choice> advanced settings, it allows you to adjust the length of the key press vibration. It doesn't make them softer, per se, but the shorter duration definitely makes it seem less aggressive.

If you put a ROM on it, like pacman then yes you can control it.
