Got my "certified like new" D2 about a week ago. I just wanted to know if the phone is up to date.

Yes you are on the correct version. You can periodically check for updates or just wait for the phone to inform you of one. The leaked version is for root users only.

The D2 came with 2.2 on it. Any updates would be pushed OTA in the next few days if it wasn't current.

Yeah, unless your wifi jumps on/off/on/off like mine does at times and both Moto and Verizon won't say anything about.

For me it is fixed in R2-D2 2.40 finally.
