ok so i rooted successfully and then i did the backups with clockworkmod and nandroid, then i tried to install a rom and then my phone started up fine but i lost my network so i tried to recover and now i have some screen with a yellow triangle sign with the droid dude sweeping and underneath it says downloading- do not turn off target!!!

what the heck is going on? oh and the rom i installed was bionic fusion i believe

I'm not familiar with your phone. Did you use a "one click" app to root your phone? Did you wipe the data and cache?

It seems like you are at stock recovery but since I'm not familiar with your phone I may be wrong.

ok so that image has been there for about an hour so now i just pulled the batterry and restarted in recovery mode and wiped the data and cache and then restarted phone but still no network

I would try booting in to recovery and doing a factory reset but that's just me.
