I have found that the police and judges never think things are as funny as I do. But that's not to say I don't keep trying to find something that they do have a sense of humor on.. this might be one to try.

As someone who knows several cops and judges, I can tell you that they frequently DO find things funny. They just have to follow the law and so they lay the smackdown on something even if they did think, deep down inside, that it was funny.

There is an app that blocks other apps unless you enter a password. I wonder if that's what they did. It was starting to look like the start of nationwide free wifi thanks to Verizon stores everywhere.

no i tried to download droidmod and it said that content cannot be downloaded, there was other stuff people tried too and it wouldnt go thru.

Sheesh! This is the kind of thing that will back fire and ruin it for everyone.

If the sales for the particular store double or at least show a significant increase, you'll more than likely see Verizon selling rooted phones in the future to increase profit in an extremely competitive market. Why put an end to something that generates more revenue? That's just stupid.

As soon as the executive offices get wind there will be reactions that will chain react right back at us.

Secretary: Sir, our sales in store #898 have doubled for the Droid phone due to the floor models being rooted.

Exec: Hmm....keep an eye on it. If they continue to climb, we'll have to pull the plug. We can't allow this profit to continue by giving users full access to hardware they've purchased!

Face it, if you were Verizon you would react. Anytime you effect sales you are going to get attention. The big wigs hear about this and start worrying about how the would be clients react and we loose more control over what we can do in the future vs. what we can do now.

If I saw a way to increase profit without sacrificing the company dignity, reliability and ethics, I would do it. Any business man would. It's incredibly stupid and poor not to.

Someone should bring there own SD card from their droid with the update.zip root file and with a nandroid of ultimate droid v8 on it and install it so the phone is running 2.1. That would defiantly screw with some people!
