Im currently using handcent sms and whenever I get a text I get a message from handcent and the stock sms how can i only get a text from handcent without installing the stock text?

Go in to stock messaging and turn off notifications.

Can someone walk me through this I just upgraded from droid2 to the X tonight and I totally forgot how to turn off the stock mess tone

Open your stock messaging app and go to settings and then uncheck notifications.
