SMS popup notification default program

Tried clearing defaults again and it didn't work.


Anyway I will post it up again.
Using SMS Popup and it defaults to opening the text messaging app instead of handcent.
I want to change it to open handcent.
I have tried clearing data, uninstalling, reinstalling, turning off everything, turning it back on, etc.
short of rooting and deleting the text messaging app, I dunno what to do.

any ideas?

Thought I had fixed it, but it didn't take.

Well if you go to manage applications, go to text messaging, it has a button that says launch by default. You can clear that.
