What is the difference between sms/MMS and regular messages

what are u calling regular messages? emails?

Regular text messages. I have all messages and sms/mms messages and i don't know the difference

No they are not because sms shows my drafts and regular messages doesn't.. so what else does it so that it deserves it own category

SMS are Short Messaging Service. They are limited in lenght to 160 characters. Generally they are refered to as "text" messages and can't include pictures or other multimedia content.
MMS are Multimedia Messaging Service. These are not limited in character length and can include pictures, sounds (multimedia content).

Both are sent as data.
