SMS alerts not vibrating! Yet another issue with FROYO?

I have now replaced by X because the first one did not vibrate to alert me of text messages, regardless of how the options to do so are set up. Who would have guessed that the replacement phone has the same issue?!!?! Are you kidding me? I've also read on other Android and DROID X boards that this is an issue with the SW and not an equipment issue afterall.

Who else has experienced this issue? Has anyone come across any resolution for this? I've reas ther is a lengthy "fix" for it, but that for some reason it only works temporarily. This is very frustrating that such an expensive "Advanced device" doesn't support this REALLY BASIC function!

the vibrate is not working on my phone either.
i have it set to vibrate always, but nothing happens.

You have to actually enable the vibrate feature in the texting app.

I've actually tried that too, to no avail. Someone on the Motorola Site recommended an app called "Easy Reminder" and we'll see if that works. Problem is, it doesn't alert me until the message is 5 minutes old. Hope there aren't any emergencies. Hopefully this'll work until Moto fixes it (If Moto fixes it!)
