been waiting on this as well dont know how reliable this article is but found it today while i was tryin to dig up info on the smart controller

A FCC Filing is a good sign that a device is about to drop. That link shows the user manual, but I haven't see any information about a US launch date. Hopefully the Handtec price point is about right... Best bet is to keep following the UK retailers since they seem to be first in line for the Smart Controller.
