Slow to charge when plugged in via USB

When I plug my LG G2X into my netbook via USB, it takes atleast twice as long to charge the phone compared to wall charging. Any way I can make it charge faster from my computer? Thanks.

Nope no way, usb can only draw so much power.

If you're on the go and need a quick charge, use an outlet

I belive this has to do with the ports on your pc. Their isnt anything you can do except just plag in the wall. Maybe a computer out their does have a dedicated usb but i dout it. its voltage would have to be higher then normal i think.

wall charger = 5v 1 amp
usb ports = 5v 500 mA (.5amp)

so since USB puts out approx 1/2 the power it takes longer to charge.


these numbers will vary but its in that ballpark.
