Slow tethering

Just got unlimited 4g mobile hot spot. I have a 9mb connection on bionic but with 4g running on my iPod touch it gets 2.3mb its this normal?

Did you get the ipod speed from a speedtest app?

Yep. Speedtest.net app is in Apple app store

I have the same issues, however, my speeds differ depending on which tower Im hitting off of.
