Slot Cycle Index

Does anyone know what the code is on the Motorola Droid to access the menu to change my Slot Cycle Index? I thought it would be in the programming menu but I could not find it...

Thanks

Joe

The Slot Cycle Index is how often the phone checks with the network for calls. The default is Slot Cycle 2 which means the phone checks for new calls every 5.12 seconds. This is why when someone may call you, it might ring 3 or 4 time on their end before your Droid will start to ring.

I recently found the instructions on how to change this on my htc eris, and I changed it to slot cycle 1 which means it checks with the network every 2.56 seconds. This made a huge difference and I want to change it on my droid. In most cases this can be changed by doing ##PST - but this does not work on the Motorola Droid...

Any help would be greatly appreciated....

Sounds like that might take a hit on battery life....

It might a little bit - but I can go 2 days without charging... if it bumps it down to 1 day, I am ok with this...
