Band width and frame rate issues aside, the screen is only 800 by 480.

Isn't HD defined as either 720 or 1080 vertical resolution?

Definitely. I have both hd and standard version and both work great.

You may have a HD sling box, but since the Dinc doesn't have an HD screen it can't show the HD output from the box in HD on the phone.

There is supposedly a Dinc HD in the works. Still may not give you true HD over the internet due to band width issues.
