Just a heads up in case no one knows. There is an app called SlideMe (mobentoo 3.3) That is a pretty decent market alternative. It works pretty much just like the market where you launch the app and then you can browse through free and paid apps. There are some apps available on slideme that is not avail on the official market. Just google it on your phone and you should be able to find it and d/l it right onto your phone. It is safe I have been using for a while. You can still use the regular market as well, now you just have 2 markets.
