sleep mode

When I place my Droid into sleep mode, I am unable to get it out without removing the battery.
I can press the power button on the top of the phone for over a minute without the anything happening !
Is there a secret that I am unaware of ?

Im not having that problem, when i hold the power button down for a few seconds the phone comes right back on

I do have the issue. Had to pull the battery. I thought sleep might work since it wasn't Windows. Guess not.
