What is going on here. After it not working and then magically working it now does not allow me to sign in to my account. Has anybody had the same problem. It is frustrating not knowing when it will or will not be working.
It's working just fine for me. I haven't run into that issue. But from the sound of things, I'd say it's an issue on Skype's servers rather than on your end. But, there are a couple things you can try.
The first is to go to Settings -> Application manager -> Skype and tap the "Force stop" button and then tap the "Clear data" button. Tap the "Clear cache" button as well if it will let you (it won't let me, so that means there's nothing to clear, and that will probably be the same for you).
If that doesn't help, try uninstalling the Skype app, rebooting, and then reinstalling it from the Play store.
Yes, I'm on Verizon. I've been signed into Skype for several hours this afternoon (as well as many other previous times on the S3) without any problems.
I wasn't having any problems before, but now Skype is touch and go for me as well. Sometimes it will open up, sometimes it won't. Sometimes it will make a call, sometimes it will freeze up when trying to call. So, it definitely looks like there's some sort of issue with the app on the S3 (or at least on the Verizon variant of the S3).
