Signing in on secure websites through tethering from droid to laptop.

Question ? While tethering from droid to laptop, I can go onto internet any site but when I go to secure sites like accounts, costco, sams, banks ect. When I go to sign in it direct to connection promblems would you like for me to troubleshoot problem. Does anyone no of a setting on my droid that I am missing ? Just to clear this up when I remove my phone out of the picture and go near any public or personal wi-fi my laptop will let me sign in. The prombem is a setting on my phone. Does anyone know? Thanks,

Wifi or usb? I know with easy tether lite, you have restrictions that wont allow you to view secure (https) pages.

I hated usb tethering before I was rooted. Wifi tether is way better.
