signal indicator color meaning

Hi all,

I have an X and I've had some connectivity issues with data downloads while on wifi with very weak or non-existant cell coverage. sometime downloads will stop or pause for a long time. during those times if i go to the browser and try to load a page it comes up as unreachable. I turn the wifi off and then on and the browser starts to work again and the downloads either pick back up or freeze (depending on what app is doing the downloading) and need to be restarted.

I've noticed that sometimes the wifi and cell strength indicators are white and sometime they're blue. I'm trying to see if there is a pattern to the drops based on the white or blue indicators.

Does anyone know what the different colors indicate?

Thanks,

The blue color means you're synced with Google's servers. White means you have a connection but you're not synced.

And I have the exact same problem with WiFi. So do most other people running on Gingerbread ROMs. Verizon royally screwed our phones with the .596 GB Kernel. It messes up 3G, WiFi, Bluetooth, button backlights along with a litany of other things and is just general crap. All we can do is wait for VZW to release an update, which rumors say is coming this month, or go back to a FroYo ROM.
