Side volume control button

The side volume control button on my phone recently started to wake up my phone when pressed. I never set it to do that and now can get it to stop. Any way to change it to do nothing?

It depends on what you are running on your phone. Some of the ROMS automatically have this built in as a feature and not you cannot turn it off.

when in the lock screen, hit the menu button. there might be a volume wake selection available. i haven't used that since i got MIUI.
