shrunken keyboard on TCL...

Hello.New to forum.I have a TCL A509DL Tracfone.All of a sudden the keyboard has shrunken down to barely more than half the width of the screen.It does it in texts and also when I Google something.When I'm texting,everything looks normal until I touch the type box.Then up comes the small screen that not only covers the last text received,but doesn't give me room to see what I'm typing with the tiny keyboard. Also,when the shrunken keyboard appears,the back arrow points down instead of left.There have been no updates that I can find that may have contributed to the problem.In settings I checked and the FONTS is set to the largest size possible.The only thing I did prior to noticing the problem was send some photos to trash.I restored them,just in case but no help.I also pulled the battery out,let it sit for a while and rebooted-no difference.TCL online help say you give them a dollar via ccard,then it's $43 per month but you can cancel anytime.I am not gonna give them my ccard.

It sounds kind of like one handed mode. In G board it looks like this. You tap the 3 dots, and then the one handed symbol (or just the one handed symbol of you are in a text message). To exit you hit the full screen box to the left of the keyboard. Pics might help if that isn't it.

Thanks for the reply.My phone doesn't have the three dots option when the keyboard is shown.I did find out that by pressing and holding the comma box on the keyboard,the Gboard options menu comes up.The one handed typing wasn't enabled but after I went back to the shrunken keyboard there was a different icon present I han't seen before.I think it is called four corners.Pushed it,keyboard back to normal and is working perfectly.Thanks again.
