Should I should 8MP pictures or 6MP (cropped to fit the screen)

On Razr max which setting do you use? I'm guessing if you shoot in the 6MP setting you get a cropped picture. So maybe shoot in the 8MP, to bet more information and crop later in photoshop. What are the pros and cons of each? What do you do? Is it better to just shoot the picture in 6MP if you only plan to view picture on the phone and not your PC?

I use the 8mp setting because I know my pictures are going to be uploaded and viewed on my pc. I could care less of it fits my phones screen because I don't plan on viewing the pics on my phone.
