Share Everything Plan

I don't know if this is the right place to ask but if you chose to upgrade a phone do you have to take the share everything or can you still just upgrade to the 2GB?

on family plan share everything. by yourself i think you get 2gb data

Well I'm on a family plan and my mother and I are fine with losing our unlimited but don't want to pay more to share data.

If you are new to Verizon, share is the only plan available.
Tiered plans are for those that have either unlimited or tiered now.
Current users can also switch to shared, but it's and way street.
