Do either of the programs give you the ability to create preprogrammed text? IOW, if I swype/shapewrite "myemail" as one word, can it put my email address in that spot?

You can in Swype but frequent reinstalls of the beta app makes the facility difficult to use, to say the least. And I believe you can add an email address to the Shaprewriter dictionary, as well. But I may be thinking of SlideIt.
