Then I would consider those phones as being outdated, unless they have unlimited internal memory, both my L3s have these features, the Optimus having a 2gb card installed when purchased ..........

A phone with unlimited internal memory certainly would be nice, but never will exist. Memory is limited to the size of the module/chip the manufacturer chooses to use.
The more memory they give us, the more we will use. Just human nature.
