settings password required

why all of a sudden does my settings require a password? I don't have any password options set up on my phone. how do I remove this screen?

Most of the time it is the last four of ur phone number if u did not set the password

Currently it says my default is 8888 and works. I want to remove the security lock screen completely. ???? Is how
