Setting up an account in the Play Store

I'm looking for a way to buy apps. I've only used free ones up to this point but there are a few that I like enough to want to buy. I usually don't buy online so I don't have a PayPal account and I really don't want to put my credit or debit card on Google. Does the play store accept Visa or MC gift cards? I'd rather put $20 on a gift card when I need to and use that. Are there any other options where I don't need to have my cards linked to an online account?

I use a prepaid Walmart debit card. Its a visa. I use it for several online bills and it works great.

That's exactly what I'm looking to get and what I wanted to know. Have you used it at the play store? (I hate that name!!!)

I rarely buy an app but I used it to buy a few. I haven't used it since they changed to play store.
