Seeking other development noobs

I have some programming background (BASIC and proprietary assembler from my previous engineering work) but I don't know OOP such as Java or C++.

I don't want to muck up this forum with noob material.

Maybe any other noobs here can find a place (virtually) to get together and learn as we go.

I've got the Android stuff installed, and I've got my Java book opened to Chapter 1. That's about it so far.

So if someone knows of forums geared towards me/us, I'd appreciate it.
