Seeing double?

Hello.

Sorry for what's probably a dumb question.....

I have used the stock sync email for three accounts. Why am I getting two notifications for the same email (notification bar)? One white and one blue.

Do I have to turn off notifications from either the app. or the email icon on the main screen?

After some researching (which, I should have done first), it is the fact that two settings are each send a notification.

My question.....is is better to turn off the notification from the specific email app. settings or under the stock email icon settings? I hope I am explaining it the right way!
