Security issues with releasing a backup?

Just wondering about what kind of information that remains in the phone AFTER a factory reset. Is there any threat to uploading a Nandroid backup? I did go into contacts and see my phone number. What else is in there? ESN? Anything bad?

A friend of mine had a problem with backups containing the recordings downloaded by verizon visual voicemail. They were even there after a factory reset for some reason, weirdest thing.
