SD Card question

My wife's Droid bit the dust with eight months to go until we can upgrade. I got her a used Eris for the mean time, which she likes. Can I just swap the SD cards between her old Droid (16GB) and the Eris (8GB) without rooting or doing anything extraordinary?

Good question. Not sure that they put the same directories out there or not. I would format the new ones card, then copy the contents to the old card saying no to overwrite.

Apps should be fine cause they use the same directories regardless of handset.

When I got my X, I took my SD out of the ERIS, transfered some things to the X, reinstalled the 16 GIG back into the X, moved things onto the the SD, and all has been good...
I'm seeing no reason why you can't do that....

The Eris will handle the 16GB card. As LoneWolfArcher stated, I would back up the 16G card to you computer, format it in the Eris and move everything over one folder at a time and you should be set.
