screenshots of lock screen

I created some custom unlock/silent icons for the lock screen and would like to get some peoples opinions on improving them or different ideas. however i cannot for the life of me figure out how to take a screenshot of the lock screen

Does ADB work?

Try drocap2. Set it to timer mode and lock, then wake up, the phone in time for it to snap the shot.

DroCap2. Notification Trigger. Hit the Trigger in the Notification pulldown. Click the power button on top once. Click the power button again. DroCap2 takes screenshot. Now you have a screenshot of your lockscreen.
