screen will not work

I replaced my droid 2 digitizer today with no trouble at all. Everything went back together just as smooth as could be. When I turned my phone on, however, the screen does not work at all. The bottom buttons do not light up. The phone powers on, but that's it, no display.

anyone have an idea what this could be?

...and does me replacing the digitizer void my one year warranty??
