Screen timeout issues

I was wondering if anyone is having trouble with the screen not timing out. I have found after every time I shut off the phone and restart it the screen will not shut off. It will go dim but will not go ahead and shut off. I also found if I toggle the wifi it will then work as it should. This is not a huge issue I was just wondering if anyone has run into this problem and if they found a cause or solution
