Screen lock options

I have been able to modify how often my screen locks, but is there a way to modify HOW it locks?
I hate having to push the power button 1st, and then slide the screen to unlock. Is there a way to just slide the screen???

Wow Shiodooru. No reason for the unnecessary and rude sarcasm.
If you read my post correctly, you would see that I'm not trying to leave my screen on. I'm looking for different options to unlock it.

You asked if there was just a way to swype the screen, to do that the screen has to be on... which means if you don't want to press a button you have to keep the screen on
