Screen comes on randomly

My screen turns on all the time on its own. I charge my phone face down at bed time because it comes on in the middle of the night. Anyone else have this issue? Any settings that would stop this?

I used to have that problem on other devices while using Greenify ... You have Greenify installed by chance?

Samsung phones like to turn the screen on when they're fully charged. That could be the issue. Other than that, Samsung phones also like to turn the screen on when you get a text with their stock messaging app. According to another thread a little while ago, it appears the Messages+ app from Verizon does the same thing.
