best way to find out is to download the free version and give it a whirl. basically it lets you set your screen to time out at a lower time(mines at 15 seconds) and your screen will not time out while it is being used.it uses the phones accelerometer and works on how much the phone is tilted.

And just to add on CatsTide's comment the accelerometer can be customized so it will turn off when held at angles you feel are the most appropriate, i.e. you lay it on a bed and it's slightly tilted up. 30 minutes later you go back and see your is still on. You can set it so it will turn off on those type of angles, and save battery life.
I believe the link to locale is a separate app that works only if you have the paid version of Screebl. But that's off the top of my head and it's still early here in Seattle.
