SBF'd and Want to send in for a replacement?

So I SBF'd and did the OTA update and I wanted to know because I am sure most of you have dealt with this situation. Can Verizon tell if the phone has been rooted? I do not want to get stuck with the retail price of a new phone!

I've sent in plenty of rooted and rommed phones I've messed up and NEVER heard from 'em again!
