Greeting my fellow Droidians. I just bought a certified pre-owned Droid X from Verizon. It's a cool phone but seems to be having a lot of problems with the phone cycling off then on during calls, lying around, pretty much consistently. Verizon has been little help. They've sent me a second X but the problem persists. I like the phone and want to keep it but it seems to be nothing but problems.

Welcome. Random reboots has been an issue for some on the x. Just keep bugging vzw until they send you the right one.

I will. As I sit here responding, it just happened again. Cycled off then on. Really frustrating considering I was planning on getting an iPhone 4 but opted for this instead

Agree verizon should help out. You shouldn't be having issues like that off the gate. Hope all gets fixed and u enjoy your stay here. This site is great.

I'm pleased to have found it. I'm hoping that they'll just send me a new phone instead of another CPO.

Welcome to the forum. Had mine switched 2x before got the right one. I have both the D2G and the X. The global works flawless, the X had a few glitche but all in all its great. Def keep taking it back and have it replaced

Thanks for the welcome! Verizon has sent me Droid #3. If this doesn't work right, I have no idea what phone I should get next.

Well if doesn't work out, maybe the fascinate? Unless the TB might sway u. I like the Droid 2 Global, it hasn't given me any problems, knock on wood, so check into it. Good luck

Number three arrived today and after switching the sd card, battery, door, and activating the device all seems to be operating properly. The phone has not powered off and on in the two hours it's been in use. Hopefully three is the charm!dancedroid
