How do I associate saved data from my old phone to my new one?

I had a Droid and now I have the Incredible. I redownloaded all of my apps, but none of them are finding the old info on my SD card for the apps. For example, I have the mileage app but it doesn't find any of my old fill up data. But PapaStacker found my game file just fine. I put the SD card back in my old phone and it was there and loaded just fine. I haven't been able to find any answers online to this and I'm starting to get annoyed. I don't want to have to start Angry Birds all over again!

I'm sorry. Have you tried acar? I think its a much better mileage, car maintenance app and it saves backups, too (helped when flashing new roms).

It could be because of what htc did to android versus what motorola did.
Hopefully a more experienced user can help.
