Earlier in the week we shared a leak about the pricing of the 4G LTE version of the Samsung Galaxy Tab 7.7. Now we have an official launch date and confirmation of the crazy pricing. Verizon announced that the Samsung Galaxy Tab 7.7 will launch this Thursday, March 1st. Samsung's newest tablet was announced at this years Consumer Electronic Show and is sporting the largest super AMOLED screen to date at 7.7 inches (1280x800 resolution) as well as:
- 1.4 GHz dual-core processor
- 16 GB internal storage
- micro SD card slot (up to 32 GB)
- 3.2mp 720p rear camera with LED flash
- 2mp front facing camera
- Verizon 4g LTE
- Wi-Fi and Bluetooth v3.0
- Android 3.2 Honeycomb with Touchwiz
The new tablet will run you a gut-wrenching $499.99 with a two year contract. It will also have a full line of accessories available including a keyboard dock, media dock, USB/SD connection kit, HDMI adapter, and book cover case. You can pick up Samsung's latest tablet at Verizon's retail stores and on their website Thursday, March 1st.
If this were a 10-inch tablet with a quad-core chip and Ice Cream Sandwich, then I could see that pricing being viable. What do you guys think?
